The Situation: LEGOLAND Florida Resort was turning 10! And as its Agency of Record, Nomad Flamingo was asked to turn that milestone, that “happy birthday” moment, into a campaign that drove business results.  Anniversary campaigns are an easy trap: they talk about the brand’s own history instead of giving the guest a reason to care. LEGOLAND needed the milestone to raise its profile against much bigger theme park competitors who don’t need an excuse to stay top of mind.

The Work: Nomad Flamingo built the campaign around a real insight instead of a birthday banner: younger kids look up to older siblings and want to feel more grown-up, while parents just want permission to let loose and be a kid again. That became “Be 10 Too,” an invitation aimed at the whole family. We carried it across LEGOLAND’s full media mix, a regional TV spot, print, digital and outdoor advertising, CRM email, and in-park event creative, plus a logo animation built specifically to mark the anniversary, all pointed at the same big ideas.

The Shift: The campaign drove a real bump in attendance and enough media pickup to matter in a market crowded with much bigger parks. But part of the shift was internal: “Be 10 Too” captured where LEGOLAND actually was. Ten years in, the resort had grown from a new park still finding its footing into a genuine destination, and the campaign let it say so without sounding like it was bragging. Turning 10 became proof of everything LEGOLAND had spent a decade building toward, not just an excuse for a special offer.
