How to Build a Doctor’s Office People Actually Want to Walk Into
Client: Dr. Ferdinand Brits, New Pointe Direct Primary Care
Initiative: New Pointe brand launch
Services: Naming, brand identity & logo, brand positioning
The Situation: Dr. Ferdinand Brits left a stable, well-paying medical group to build something that could put patients first: an independent direct primary care practice of his own. That meant starting with no patients in a business model that barely understands what direct primary care even is. But his vision to give patients back a doctor who actually has time to listen to them drove him on.
The Work: Nomad Flamingo built New Pointe’s name, identity, and positioning around the one thing corporate medicine had systematically stripped out of medicine: the relationship. Rather than starting with a color palette, we started by identifying what differentiates him: the willingness to sit with a difficult patient until trust breaks through. We built a name, a leaf-accented mark, and a warm, earth-toned identity around restoring that relationship instead of producing another sterile, corporate-feeling clinic brand.
The Shift: Within weeks of opening, Dr. Brits began steadily adding new patients while working “float” shifts to cover expenses. Within four months, he had hired his first part-time employee to handle the admin work so he can stay focused on taking care of his patients.
